Following three intensive song writing trips to the USA over a period of 15 months,
the album was recorded 2018 in Nashville at the legendary Studio 19, now the Sound
Kitchen. Cormac immersed himself in the rich musical history of both the studio and
the city, channelling a re-energised creativity working with some of the finest
Nashville musicians including Steve Grossman on drums (Gibson Miller band, India
Arie), Doug Kahan on bass (Cody Johnson) and John Heinrich on Pedal Steel (Garth
Brooks, Shania Twain, and Tammy Wynette). Following the album tracking, he
returned to complete dubbing and mixing in Belfast where he brought in some of
Northern Ireland’s finest musicians to help with final arrangements. The result is a
powerful blend of two diverse and rich musical cultures, a Celtic Nashville
concoction connected by Neeson’s unique vocal tones and song writing prowess,
performing songs co-written with leading USA and Nashville country songwriters
including 2016 Tennessee songwriter of the year Corey Lee Barker; Steve O Brien,
Blue Miller, Chase Akers, Blake Densmore and Allen McKendree Palmer who
between them have sold in excess of 30 million songs.

Mama's Boys
Originally named Pulse,Pat formed his first Rock Group in 1978 after
being inspired by Irish legends Horslips, along with his younger
brothers John and Tommy. The band was renamed Mamas Boys in
1979 when Pat started writing all the original material.
The Band recorded and released eight albums and twenty two
singles. The first three albums were independant releases on their
own label and the first independent single to hit the UK charts was
‘Too Little of Me For You to Love `.This along with a major tour with
Thin Lizzy got the band noticed big time and in 1983 the band signed
with record industry label legend Clive Davis for Arista in the USA and
Jive Records for the rest of the World. The band went on to chart in
the USA,UK,Ireland,Japan,Australia and Europe.Famously with Pats
song ‘Needle in the Groove`,a cover of Slade;s ‘ Mama Weer All Crazee
Now` and later with ‘Waiting For A Miracle `.
Mamas Boys toured continuously worldwide, working alongside such
acts as Horslips,Thin LIzzy,Rush,Iron Maiden,Bon Jovi,Black
Sabbath,Wishbone Ash,Rory Gallagher,Gary Moore,Blackfoot,Stevie
Ray Vaughan,Joe Cocker,The Scorpions and many others too
numerous to mention and of course headlining their own Worldwide
Tours.Mamas Boys were actually the first band ever to play the then
Bercy in Paris, now the Accor Arena which has hosted some of the
biggest acts on the planet.
The band ceased when Pats younger Brother Tommy (Mamas Boys
Drummer) passed away.Pat and John didn’t have the heart to carry
on.
During this time period Pat worked and recorded with many other
acts.Famously on the track ‘Touch You` by Samantha Fox,which was a
Worldwide hit.He also worked with Matchroom Ltd,writing the song
‘Judgement Day` for the Benn/Eubank Boxing Event and that led to
working with the new channel "Eurosport" writing theme music and
jingles.
1996 - 2000 - Change of musical direction
Celtus
After the passing of their brother,Pat and his brother John took time
to reflect and came back with a sound that mixed the Irish Traditional
Music of their youth with rock. They were very quickly picked up and
signed by Muff Windwood to Sony Music and a separate publishing
deal with EMI.The band released four albums and singles, one of
which won Best Album at the World Music Awards.Celtus toured and
worked along acts such as Sheryl Crow,Jimmy Nail,Deacon Blue,Paul
Carrick amongst others...
Also in 1996 Pat worked and wrote somewhat with Trip Hop musician
and actor Tricky on hisPre-Millenium Tension album. The album
went on to chart Worldwide.
2000 - to Present Day
In 2000 Pat wished for a career change and moved back to his native
Fermangh from London where he had been living for 16 years, after his
contractual obligations had come to an end.He needed to take a fresh
look at music and in 2001 he also became a music tutor for
Violin,Guitar and Banjo....which continues when possible to this
present day and many of his students have gone on to be award
winners and have careers of their own.
From 2001 to 2007 Pat recorded several tradtional albums including
‘Hidden Fermanagh` I and 2,Cool Celi,Melodious Accord - by Jim
McGrath (Winner in the 2007 TG4 Music Awards) etc,and worked on
various cultral events such as the Donegal to Senegal Project. He also
played with Fermanagh friend and masterful flute player Laurence
Nugent on a 6 week US Trad Tour.
In 2007 Pat was chosen as one of the tradtional musicians to
represent Northern Ireland at the 41st Smithsonian Festival in
Washington DC on the lawns of The White House.
During this period Pat also worked along side Robyn Robins formerly
of the Bob Segar Band, who happened to be living in Fermanagh and
producing albums for many various artists.Pat was his go to man for
guitar and violin. Also he joined two bands - Indian and The
Painkillers,touring,recording and doing TV work.
In late 2007 Pat took a gamble and formed his own ‘ Pat McManus
Band` a Rock and Blues Power Trio, which led to the writing and
recording of his first solo album.Soon enough the music industry and
venues were eager to see what Pat was up to and the touring
commenced again, playing at many prestigious venues and festivals
both at home and abroad...including Guitare En Scene in France,
Patrimonio Guitar Festival in Corsica...and many, many blues and rock
festivals across Ireland, the UK and Europe .The PMB have been
closely associated with the International Rory Gallagher Festival in
Ballyshannon (Rory’s birthplace)since day one.The band has been very
successful and 7 further albums and three live DVDs and two live CDs
have been produced on Pats own independant label, working with
international distribution labels.
Over his career Pat has written and performed for many other artists
and bands. His music has also been used on many TV series and
films.To name a random few - Eastenders,Ramsey;s Kitchen
Nightmares,The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (South American
Trailer)Butterbrot(German Film with Hollywood Composer Harald
Kloser)SeaQuest,Galway Races(TV Trailer),Taggart etc.
At the end of the day Pat always returns to the music he was born
into and that is Irish Traditional Music, and he still works with many
of his traditional music friends on a regular basis.
Pat is still very much a full time rock and blues musician touring still
with his own power trio and just last year he teamed up with old
friend and fellow musician Brendan Reaburn for Brendans new
project ‘When Ireland Rocked’ and a cast that includes Cormac
Neeson of ‘The Answer;,Jimmy Brennan and Chris Carney.
Known to many as ‘The Professor’ and also as ‘The Gentleman of
Rock; Pat in the last few years has been honoured three times with
Lifetime Achievement Awards. For the most recent award in the Rory
Gallagher Theatre in Ballyshannon Pat was joined by his friends, family
and fellow musicians for a gala concert celebrating Pats life in
music. In 2024 Cherry Red Records released a commemorative boxset
of the early Mama’s Boys albums.
The Irish Times has named Pat as one of the five most influential Irish
guitar players and such quotes as ‘Monumental `,’Master of the six
string ` and ‘Eye watering guitar work`...but through it all Pat says he
just loves to play music.Music he believes is the great connector
which links us to times enjoyed, memories ,our ancestors and the
future.

Chris Carney
Chis plays guitar, piano and synthesiser for 'Irish Rock Legends'.
Chris is a multi-instrumentalist from the north-east of Ireland. When he was a very young age, Chris learned how to play the Irish whistle and the piano. This gave him a great fundamental understanding of music theory and melody. As a child, Chris continued to learn this theory and some more musical instruments, including how to play the trumpet and the trombone with Ardee Concert Band. For many years in his younger life, Chris played with Ardee Concert Band at competitions and events around Ireland.
When he became a teenager, Chris discovered the power of the electric guitar and this opened up a whole new musical world for Chris. He taught himself how to play the guitar by listening to songs like 'The Boys Are Back In Town' from Thin Lizzy, 'Parisienne Walkways' from Gary Moore, and 'Sultans Of Swing' from Dire Straits. This powerful instrument, the guitar, would change the life of Chris forever.
As a young adult, Chris studied Music Technology and Sound Engineering in the city of Dublin, and then attended a music and media degree in Maynooth National University Of Ireland. In his 20s, Chris began to compose original songs and he travelled deep into the songwriting process.
Music has taken much of the focus and love in the life of Chris, but in 2021 Chris began his new creative journey as a film-maker after many years of interest in the visual medium. This has brought Chris to a place where he could help his friend Brendan Reaburn to take 'Irish Rock Legends' from an idea of Brendan's to the real world and to the stage.
Chris' direct musical influences are Bruce Hornsby and Phillip Glass on piano, Mark Knopfler and Mike Einziger (Incubus) on guitar, and Jackson Browne, Agnes Obel and Ryuichi Sakamoto on songwriting and composition. Chris plays as a session musician on the live stage and in the recording studio with many bands and artists in Ireland, and he regularly tours internationally in the U.K. and Europe. Chris uses the musical instruments of Fender, Gibson and Korg.

Brendan Reaburn
Producer / Founding Member / Bassist of IRISH ROCK LEGENDS..
Often referred to as being one of Ireland's ''most in the pocket bass players'', his love of music is complete and he has immersed himself in it fully from a young age..
Joining his first professional band as a teenager back in 1994 touring extensively across Ireland playing Rock and Blues covers..
A seminal time in his development as a touring musician where he considers to have learned his trade and discovered his passion for all things related to performance and production..
In 2001 he co-founded his own Rock covers band The Cunning Stunts..
Pushing the boundries a little more this time both musically and logisticly..
Since 2003 enjoying the summer months touring in Germany performing at Bikertreffen and Openair events..
2006 brought with it the next project, co-founding Pearl Jem (now Light Years) a tribute and celebration of the music of Pearl Jam..
Extensively touring since, across Ireland, UK and Europe and now are widely regarded as being Europe's finest tribute to the Seattle giants..
A new challenge and change in musical style was on the horizon of 2007 when he was offered the opportunity to join multi-platinum selling Irish arttist Liam Lawton as his touring and recording bass player.. An enriching and fulfilling time on his musical journey performing in all major Concert Halls and Cathedral's across Ireland and USA including Carnegie Hall in New York, St Patrick's Cathedral in Chicago, The National Concert Hall in Dublin and ultimately to a capacity 75,000 people in Dublin's Croke Park Stadium..
The next few years were spent developing all of these projects and raising his young family at home in Ireland..
Not until 2016 did the Producer's hat come back out for what was to be the most ambitious project to date - Beyond The Music.. A concept to take a piece of contemporary / rock music from an act or artist and develop the deeper themes and moods of the songs with Orchestra and Choir..
Deciding on The Joshua Tree as their first project, the long process began to re-record the entire album with full band, orchestra and choir.. Scoring and Arranging all their own parts..
Thoughts then turned to how do we bring this production on the road..
With tours in Netherlands and France booked, the album was released in February of 2020 but then in March 2020 the Covid Pandemic closed all doors for some time and we all know the rest of that..
Since October 2022 though, Beyond The Music have realised their dreams and have been successfully touring across Europe..
It was also during the Pandemic times that Brendan had his first thoughts and ideas for this IRISH ROCK LEGENDS show..
To remember the huge musical revolution in Ireland of the late 60's, 70's and 80's.. The birth of a new sound.. How a new generation of electric guitar driven music inspired so many and paved the way for those who followed..
A time when Ireland rocked the world, celebrating the songs of these iconic Irish rock acts and artists and the enormous musical footprint they left behind worldwide..
Although much of his time is spent on musical and creative collaborations nothing gives him greater pleasure than getting up onstage and rocking out with his musician brothers, performing to live audiences..

Jimmy Brennan
Jimmy has been touring as a professional drummer for over 30 years now across all genres from Jazz & Country to Pop & Rock to Hard Rock and Metal..
Alongside his prolific touring career he is also one of Ireland's most in demand studio session drummers and when not out on the road, will be found in recording with many acts and artists of varied musical styles..
Jimmy was also part of a group backing the late original Iron Maiden singer Paul Dianno on a successful tour of Ireland and still tours with the highly regarded Metallica tribute Metallitia..
Jimmy continues to tour extensively in Europe with the very successful production “Beyond the Music” and currently with supergroup “When Ireland Rocked“ featuring Mamas Boys guitarist Pat McManus and The Answer singer Cormac Neeson..
